Oh Joy...
I am seriously UNLUCKY when it comes to guys. Any of you girls remember Hans? Or David?
ANYWAY.
Saturday, 30th June 2007.
Last night I went for my mom's friend's wedding (ie: Uncle John) and my mom and I were sharing the table with Uncle Joe, Auntie Germaine, their children, Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Jenny. Hans just so happened to be sitting beside me. First he tries to "open conversation" by telling me that he got number 10 in class.
Hans: You know who got number 10?
Me: Err...
Hans: I got number 10!! (looks over to his sister who was glaring at him) Stephie, what number you got ar??
Stephanie: (looks at me) Grace, if he talks some more smack him on the head.
Me: (nervous laughter)
AND THEN..
Hans noticed the little boxes on the table (one for each person) that had a piece of cake inside. Its like the "cenderamata" for the guests. He picked it up and turned to me slowly opening the box.
Me: .... What are you doing?
Hans: This is for you.
Me: Right... thanks for the cake?
Hans: Aiyo, I was going to propose to you...
Me: (blink) right....
Stephanie obviously couldn't stand watching him and insisted on changing places. So now she sat beside me and Hans sat across us. Her excuse was that she wanted to talk to me. So when they settled down again Hans went "You said you wanted to talk to her right? I don't see you talking!!" Stephanie glared at him and turned to me and said, "Hi! I'm Stephanie. How are you?" before shooting back at her younger brother ," There, we're talking!" So Hans stared at us the whole night seething. A bit unnerving though.
-.-"
The reception was suppose to start at 7pm but the food only came at 9! So all of us were complaining of hunger. Apart from that we were sitting at the "lucky" table where the air conditioning unit wasn't working, flies enjoyed "visiting" and the waiters forgot about us. The service was so... unbelievably slow. Then there was the karaoke which made us cringe. I guess most of the guests were drunk when they went on stage and sang. At certain points we laughed and other we literally closed our ears. The whole thing was over at 11.30pm.
My point in this is: I don't like Hans anymore and now he decides to take an interest in me. GREAT! When I told Jess, she went "awwww... someone's heart must have been beating faster" and I practically choked on my drink. And NO, I do not like Hans. Please be clear on that!!
Sunday, 1st of July.
I went for Sunday School today and Mr. Bernard asked us whether we read the chapter. David proudly announced that the chapter was about 'choosing life' and it touched on stuff like 'euthanasia and abortion'. Sadly, he said U-TEN-SEE-YA instead of U-THE-NAY-SIA. I promptly corrected him and the whole class laughed.
You'd think he got mad but David just went "Oh. haha. Whoops." and smiled at me. I mean, normally you'd get mad but this guy didn't. Then teacher started talking about equal rights and gave us a situation about a married man who has a mistress on the side. This guy, let's call him X bought a house for his mistress and her two kids (by him of course) but X put it (the house) under his name. However, the mistress was the one who paid for the bills and the stuff in the house.
So X dies and his wife finds out about the mistress. The question is "Does the mistress have a right over the house?". I said yes and other said no but SHERWIN said "No! The KIDS have the right over the house because X is their father."
Everyone just went o________o
Then teacher asked us to decide where we stand and Sherwin proudly said "I am the LAWYER who steals the house from the mistress and the wife! HAH!." How dumb is that? Class ended and I waited for my parents at the bus stop. The AMAZING bus stop where I ALWAYS happen to wait with David. Again. So we talked about Sherwin and somehow our studies came up and he told me he stayed in Puchong. I didn't know that. The he asked where I stayed so I said "Subang Jaya." and he said ,"That's not too far from where I live." So I asked him why he goes to Assumption Church (which is in PJ, by the way) since its quite a distance. DO YOU KNOW WHAT HE ANSWERED??
"Because my friends are here and you're here so... I prefer to stick with Assumption."
WHAT??????!?!?!?
Luckily, my parents came at that moment and I left. Is life unfair? I stop liking him and it all comes back. This is ridiculous!! RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!
.... UNFAIR....
ANYWAY.
