I spent my whole day with the ASAYO (Archdioscese Single Adults and Youth Organistion) group that are helping 100-something of us get to Sydney for WYD. :D It was fun actually. First off we started with praise and worship. BUT before that we had to say "Jesus loves you" to the people nearest to us. That was funny. So after that we sang:

THEN we had the message from Father Michael, OFM Capuchian who is now in Rome so he prerecorded a message for us. but the message was shown as "A MASSAGE from FATHER MICHAEL". LOL. we laughed liked crazy. But his message was nice. :]

hmm.. after that... we had a light tea before going UP again for Father Philip (from Assumption Church. He recognise my mom and me and gave me a hug. hahaha. -_-") to give us a speech. It was a funny one. One interesting fact about Father Philip is that he's the resident exorcist of the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur. amazing right? He was a bit miffed that it was advertised in the booklet that all participants received. Oh one more interesting fact! He used to work with the current pope when Pope Benedict the 16th was still Cardinal Ratzinger. According to Father Philip, Papa Benny (as we Catholic teens dub him) is humble and rather shy. :) hehehe

then... we had lunch. I met these Nigerian men who had interesting names. One was "Peace Prosper" the other was.. well, I can't spell it. -_-" but when they found out what mine was they said "AH, the grace of God." I had to laugh. You see, I was introduced to ONE at a time by my mom and EACH of them said the SAME thing. lol.

Father Philip was all 0_0 when my mom told him that I was vegetarian. ahhahahaha. but he said it was GOOD to be vegetarian. I asked him ,"Father, how would you feel if I ate you?" in reply he said "I'd be proud. I mean, I'm worth eating. besides, I'll be dead" -__-" haha. :D :D these people ARE hilarious.

I was surprised at the formation actually. I was sitting with my mom when this young lady (early 20s) came up to me and said "Are you Grace?" and so I said "Yes...". So she smiled and said, "I'm not sure if you remember me but I'm Sharmini. I read your blog 2-3 years ago." I FINALLY REALISED IT was SHARMINI. She commented on my first blog that I had in Form One and she was really really nice. It was such an honour to meet one of the most supportive stranger that I've ever had. haha. It was nice. :)

So after lunch, we had the group sharing session where we basically crapped with each other. :/ well I did. hahaha. BUT the rest gave good answers. THEN we had tea. AGAIN. Mom ended up talking to this guy name Mark Lee, who went for the WYD in Cologne, Germany. His experience was REALLY REALLY REALLY WOW! :D It was GREAT to hear and honest one. :) AND he knew his stuff aka the people that I've been DYING to meet, he's met; like Father Stan Fortuna CFR, the EWTN crew, Matt Maher. I AM SO JEALOUS!

Then we had a briefing session about the flight stuff. I'll be leaving on the 12th of July and coming back on the 22nd. Oh right before I forget, I'll probably be performing with the Malaysian Contingent for the Youth Festival. We're thinking of doing a dance-play. Yes, I know I CAN'T dance but it would be QUITE an experience don't you think? Serena (my friend from Assumption who's mom is coming too) signed up with me.

I can't wait to go to Sydney now. It'll probably be crazy but well.. I'm sure I'll learn a lot. :D NITE
